Mason Jennings' dialect is in my head

This is a poem I wrote after coming back from surprising my mom for mother's day. I was sitting in my room and, yea, feelin' it, heavy. If you know the Mason Jenning's song, you'll know what I mean

Ode to Minnesota like
Mason Jennings sings
California, miss ya
like the deepest
yearning burning through
my heart like an
Oregon winter - wimperin'
because my deep
cold crisp is amiss
and I can't crunch
home on the snow
that's been there for
long enough but not too
long.
